Teaching
I love working with learners of all ages, from young swimmers taking their first strokes to students gaining confidence in English.
Swimming instruction
During summers, I spend my free time teaching individuals of all ages how to swim. I began as an Assistant Coach at Canyons Aquatics Club, where I helped design and lead daily workouts and mentored swimmers to develop both their technique and mindset.
Since then, I’ve continued coaching during my time off and have taught more than 50 students, from ages 3 to 60, focusing on individualized instruction, water safety, and building confidence in and around the pool.
English tutoring
In addition to swimming, I tutor English for children in China who otherwise would not have access to formal English classes. I focus on conversational skills, reading comprehension, and building a supportive, encouraging learning environment so students feel comfortable practicing and making mistakes.
I also mentor undergraduate researchers in the Sapru Lab’s dry lab, helping them grow their skills in scientific thinking, data analysis, and communicating their work.
